Thedosios Kyriakidis holds a PhD in Modern History from University of Western Macedonia, Greece. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He attended courses at the Westfaelische-Wilhelms Universität in Münster and at the Gregorian University in Rome. He also received a diploma on Greek Palaeography and a master degree on Historical Theology. He attended the Genocide and Human Rights University Program at the University of Toronto. Moreover he completed a post-doctoral research at the La Sapienza University of Rome. He speaks English, Italian and German. He has conducted numerous researches in Greece and abroad and he was granted with scholarships and distinctions from foundations of Greece, United States of America and Italia. He was a research assistant at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is the author of monographs and articles concerning the Ottoman Empire in general and the history of Pontus.
